ABOUT ME
Shanti Abundance is a culmination of my many dreams in one place. I created Shanti Abundance through a deep desire to bring people together around nourishing meals. Shanti Abundance focuses on conscious natural cooking, pulling flavours and techniques from around the world. A love of food and travel has held me through my life, moving frequently as a child and absorbing lessons from the many places I lived. My childhood in Southeast Asia set me on the journey of developing a passion for food. I believe in eating locally and seasonally when possible and incorporating our surroundings into our meals.
I have worked in many aspects of hospitality and kitchens, loving the atmosphere and giving nature of the job, but | found that I often didn't love the ingredients used or the work life balance on offer. This lead me to discovering the many other ways of working with food and people. Through inspiring natural chefs I found this was not the only way to create beautiful and delicious food, food can be balanced and taste amazing, we can work hard and rest when needed.
Having studied at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London as a Natural Chef, I view food as not only meals but medicine. I have a personal passion in understanding female bodies and hormones, with a focus on the many ways our diets and lifetsyles can aid our experiences.
